IDEPENDENT FOR A BETTER MAINE

When I first served in public office, I saw what government can do when it works for people. Since returning more recently, I’ve seen how badly it fails hardworking Mainers when it doesn’t.

We are paying more for housing, more for groceries, more for energy, and more to just get by. Young people are wondering if they can afford to build a life here. Working families are doing everything right and still falling behind.

This is the result of a government that is too comfortable with delays, excuses, and protecting partisan insiders instead of delivering results for the people of Maine.

I’m running for Governor because Maine deserves better.

We need honest leadership, real accountability, and a government that remembers who it works for. Under my leadership, it will never be about what is best for the Republican Party or the Democratic Party. It will be about what is best for Maine.

DEEP MAINE ROOTS

Maine made me who I am.

I grew up in Yarmouth, where my parents taught me the value of hard work, honesty, and service. My father was a school teacher. He created Maine’s first environmental education curriculum and the Maine studies curriculum, which gave me a deep appreciation for this state, its heritage, and its future. My mother worked in retail, and she taught me to work hard, treat people with respect, and understand what families carry every day.

I chose to build my life here as a business leader, public servant, husband, and father. My wife Karen and I live in Oxford – where my family goes back over 200 years..

I’m fighting for Maine because too many families are doing everything right and still falling behind. People want the basics: a fair shot, a government that tells the truth, and a future their kids can afford. That’s not too much to ask. Maine is worth fighting for, and I’m in this race to make sure the next generation can build a life here too.

A RECORD OF RESULTS

I’ve always been focused on getting results for Mainers - fighting against dark money special interests, expanding broadband, taking on the utilities, supporting working families, and standing up for people too often left behind.

In the private sector, I’ve created jobs in Maine and led the turnarounds for struggling companies. I know what it’s like to meet payroll, build a team, solve problems, and make tough calls.

As Governor, I will answer only to you, the people of Maine. It’s time for a Governor who is relentlessly focused on results for Mainers.

A GOVERNMENT ON YOUR SIDE

I believe Maine should work for the people who live here. For the families working hard, paying the bills, raising kids, caring for loved ones, and trying to build a future. Not for insiders. Not for party bosses. Not for the people who profit while everyone else falls behind.

As Governor, I will make life more affordable, tell the truth about what is broken, and build a government that answers to the people. It is about fairness, dignity, freedom, and the simple belief that no one in Maine should be pushed aside or left behind.

THIS CAMPAIGN IS FOR YOU

Our campaign is for every Mainer who has felt shut out while the insiders make the decisions. It is for every person who is looking for a leader who will speak for them,  fight for them, and put people ahead of partisan interests.

I see you. I hear you. I will fight for you – for your freedom, for your dignity, for your family, and for your future.

We need a government that answers to the people of Maine, not the political class. I am not running to protect the system. I am running to take it on.

A GOVERNMENT THAT LISTENS

Mainers have been let down by leadership in Augusta.

But I believe in Maine, and I believe in the people of this state. I believe in your decency, hard work, and determination to build a better future for your families.

That is why I’m running. To make sure the people of Maine have a Governor who sees them, listens to them, and fights for them.
